The Ultimate Guide to Lincoln Avenue in Youngstown
If you spend any time at all at Youngstown State University, you’re bound to find yourself on this part of campus. That’s where our Ultimate Guide to Lincoln Avenue comes in. Anchored by the campus bookstore from Barnes & Noble and the historic Jones Hall, Lincoln has beautiful sights, shopping, food, drinks, student housing, parking and emergency services.
As you move through Lincoln Avenue you’ll find an entrance to the M-60 parking deck on the left, and on the right is the first of many incredible local businesses located on Lincoln…
Pressed Coffee Bar and Eatery
Looking for a comfy coffee house built out of an old home? Pressed Coffee Bar and Eatery is your destination. They offer coffees and tea as well as a full menu of breakfast foods like frittatas and gourmet waffles served all day. This is a perfect spot to relax between classes or have a business meeting if you’re coming up from Downtown. Learn more about Pressed in our video feature from earlier this week!
Inner Circle Pizza
Right next to Pressed is the YSU location of a great local pizza chain serving traditional Youngstown-style pizza and featuring a full bar.
DNA Studios
Continuing down Lincoln you’ll find a small plaza containing 3 separate local businesses. The first of which is a tattoo and piercing parlor called DNA Studios. If you’re in the market for a new tattoo or piercing, their experienced artists do great work and make the process of getting you set up extremely easy and simple.
Republic Pizzeria and Pub
If you’re hungry for a fantastic slice of New York-style pizza, Republic Pizzeria and Pub could be your go-to pizza place on campus. They also have a full bar and regularly host events.
Stone Fruit Coffee Company
Is a coffee bar with a chill vibe and great music more your style? Head right around the corner to Stone Fruit Coffee. They specialize in their incredibly helpful staff and deep roots to the local community.
The Enclave
One of YSU’s newest student housing developments, the Enclave, has parking on Lincoln as well. Their fully-furnished apartments feature all the amenities a student would need for a wonderful collegiate experience.
The Ward Beecher Planetarium
YSU’s wonderful Ward Beecher Planetarium offers free shows on Fridays and Saturdays from September through May. Come down and see one of their great shows!
Wick Primary Care at YSU from Mercy Health
OK we realize that knowing where the closest medical facility isn’t the coolest part of the list, but this relatively new addition to Youngstown State offers a ton of helpful services for students and many of them are free! Visit the student health page on YSU’s website to learn more.
St John’s Episcopal Church
This gorgeous, century-old church is technically located on Wick Avenue but it’s directly across from Lincoln so we included it anyway. If you’re looking for Sunday morning church services, they have worship at 8 and 10:30.
Cassese’s MVR
Cassese’s is a little off Lincoln but we thought this would be the best place to put it out of the articles we have. Cassese’s is a great place to go if you’re in the mood for some fantastic Itallian Cuisine and play bocce on their wonderful bocce courts.
Chain Restaurants Located on Lincoln Avenue
If you’re not in the mood for some of our best local options, you will also find a Subway, Jimmy Johns, Hot Head Burrito, and Chipotle.
We hope you enjoyed our Ultimate Guide to Lincoln Avenue! Stay tuned over the next couple days as we guide you through Downtown Youngstown and the up-start Elm Street north of campus.
