One of Youngstown’s best kept secrets is definitely Elm Street on the north side of YSU’s campus. Elm has a fast-growing collection of businesses that share sustainability goals and a focus on revitalizing the community. Its a great up-and-coming part of the city that offers a variety of shops and food options for you to enjoy which is why we put together this Ultimate Guide to Elm Street.

If you’re coming from campus, as you walk past Cafaro House towards Wick Park the first business you’ll come across is….

Culturehouse Coffee Company

Looking for an amazing cup of coffee? Stop by Culturehouse for fantastic drinks, made from in-house roasted coffee beans, in a bright, colorful atmosphere. Learn more about Culturehouse in this feature we filmed recently.

Edward’s Flowers

If you’re in the market for a beautifully arranged floral gift this is the place you want to go. They’ve been in business since 1947, meaning they’ve been able to weather all of Youngstown’s ups and downs, by offering great service and truly caring about their customers.

Wick Park

Just past all the businesses on Elm Street you’ll find an entrance to Wick Park. Historically this was the centerpiece of Youngstown’s wealthiest district and today is still a wonderful park to go for a jog, play a game of disc golf or throw a party.
