The Lime Tree in Downtown Warren is a local restaurant with an artistic, chill atmosphere serving amazing sandwiches, salads, burgers and beers.

“We try to do something different than everybody else does and try to think about food and drinks in a more unique way and a more creative way,” says co-owner and Executive Chef Travis Taylor. “I mean just try to make something that people would like. My approach was to take other meals and make them sandwiches because that’s what I’d do with leftovers. Everything at home is a sandwich just waiting to happen.”

For Taylor, a love of cooking was instilled at a very early age.

“I tell people I’ve been cooking professionally since I was 4 years old. My grandparents owned concession trailers so that was our weekends during the summer we went and worked for my grandparents and so I’ve been doing it for quite a while. It’s always been there for me. It’s something I could always do.”

“I like making people happy, I like seeing the expressions on their faces when they taste something that I’ve made. It’s kind of like an intimate experience. It’s important, but I mean mostly it’s fun. We try to be as laid back as possible so don’t be afraid just just come on in and sit down.”
