With a million items available, there truly is something for everyone at Mr. Darby’s Antique and Collectible Emporium. With a collection of rare and unusual antiques and collectibles, cultivated by over 100 vendors, you could spend hours browsing through row after row of history.

We interviewed Robert Neapolitan, owner of Mr. Darby’s, about his store and the collection of items that has been cultivated under his roof.

What is Mr. Darby’s Antique and Collectible Emporium?

We’re a local business that’s helping almost 100 other vendors run small businesses from our little emporium here. We’ve grown eight or nine businesses, that we know of, that have opened up throughout the Valley [after getting their start at Mr. Darby’s].

How did Mr. Darby’s get its name?

One of our vendors and I were at a real estate sale and the gentleman that was running the sale, everybody had to call him Mr. Darby. They called him Mr. Darby, sir and it was just kind of a unique ring to it and we kind of brought that English type of feel to the store and to the uniqueness of what we have to offer.

How would you describe the collection at Mr. Darby’s?

We have everything from estate jewelry, coins, antiques, collectibles, baseball cards, different toy collectibles, glassware, farmhouse items, primitive items, mid century modern. Something exciting for everybody in the family from the kids to the adults. The collection seems unbelievable and the collection’s changing almost daily by vendors bringing in new merchandise. We tell people we have over a million different and unique items. Things that you’re not going to find anywhere else in the community.
